tea stain, tea stain
stain on my brain?
the mark of a brew
one sugar, two?
journey of miles
brew up some smiles?
mark of history, no?
when you're ready, throw
caution to the wind
unfurl those sails
tea, never fails.
'you're not alone', she said
flicking ash onto her plate
cigarette in hand,
in fantasy land
'you've got me.' she said
looking into my eyes
recognise
the fear, loneliness
what a mess
hold me dear in your arms
for I am yours
to have, hold, love
hold me near in your heart
for I am there
embedded
hold me true in your mind
for you think of me
I know you do, always
hold me close beneath the stars
for they are as beautiful
as you are to me.
if you cared
you would have followed me
taken my hand
looked into my eyes
apologised.
told me you erred.
but no
you did not do that
i therefore assume
you do not care
i sit, clutching the mug
of white hot chocolate
remembering how
you called me pudding
wiped my tears
listened to my fears.
another year has come and gone
and with it, affections have been won
and lost
there've been smiles, too
memories of you
but sorrows as well
though you could probably tell.
three years have passed
so quickly, it seems
i hate that your presence
is only in dreams.
recently, there's been someone new
a calming influence
offering a hug or two
where I'm just an addled adolescent
he sees past my shades of fluorescent
you could say he's superhuman
and I'd most likely agree
after all,
I think he's good for me
brightens my black days,
balances my bemused brain
keeps me from going insane
all that's left to say -
'there's a warm wind blowing,
the stars are out
and I'd really love to see you tonight'

Need to break out.
Get away from here,
to some faraway place
where judgement of humankind
is seen as fatal error.
Is there nowhere I can cry
without being heard?
Is there one upon whom I can rely
without uttering a word?
You, you sir
Do you have a minute?
To help a turbulent soul?
Before she stumbles in
to a bottomless black hole?
I watch the phone.
Hoping, waiting
that he will save me
no judgement, no hating.
Just listen, to yourself
do you sound like
you, or someone else.
When you cry
you all laugh, when you smile you
have tears.
Your just a soul never to live
cry after the times you've gone
through.
Think about who you are for a change.
You cried once, and you've smiled in the
future.
Just this once, for you, I want you
to see who you really are, you are
just not nothing, you are not something
you are both you exist and dont exist.
Just listen, to yourself
do you sound like
you, or someone else.
